What’s the instrumentation of the group?
That’s up to you! We usually function as a six-piece swing band (guitar/vocals, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, upright bass, drums), but we can work as any combination that you’d like. For quieter or smaller events, try an evening of guitar/vocals, bass and sax.

If you’d like a duo, trio, quartet, quintet, or the full swing band, just let us know! Most of our arrangements are geared towards the six-piece, but we can make do with anything you want.

I want to hire a band, but I also like the idea of a d.j.. What should I do?
Have us both! This is becoming a popular trend for weddings, and we’re happy to share the stage. We regularly work with a handful of d.j.s. We let the d.j. use our equipment, and since they only provide entertainment for half the night, it’s much less expensive than hiring us both separately. Let us take care of finding the right one for you! All you need to do is let us know what kind of music you’d like to dance to.

Do you only play music from the 1930’s and 40’s?
Not at all. We base our band in the style of the 30’s and 40’s, but besides all the Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Louis Prima, Duke Ellington and Count Basie, we play Michael Jackson, James Brown, Beatles, Motown…the list goes on.

We like fun music, and we change what we play depending on the performance. Let us know what you want to hear!

Where can I see you perform?
See that link to the “Upcoming Shows” page up top? If you’re lucky, we might have a public performance coming up. We mostly do private events these days, which are not listed on the website. We get in trouble if our fans start showing up and dancing at weddings and 3M functions. From time to time we play city festivals, clubs, casinos, etc…, so you can come to those.

Come back to the website often for new updates! Also, the trio plays every month at Max’s Groove House in Forest Lake. It’s a half hour from the cities, and there’s no cover! Come say hi on the first Wednesday of each month!
